Nicolette is a Program Manager at University of Hawaiʻi Community Colleges system office for the $13.3 million Reimagine Workforce Preparation grant and coordinates statewide workforce training programs for the Good Jobs Hawaiʻi initiative. Her work focuses on innovating with industry partners to respond to community needs that lead to industry credentials, work-based learning, career advancement and non-credit to credit pathways. She earned a Doctor of Education degree in entrepreneurial leadership in education from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, a master’s degree in education from Chaminade University of Honolulu, and a bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. Her EdD dissertation explored ways to build capacity in collaborative leadership to sustain innovations at community colleges.
