In order to coach in a New York State Public School District, an individual is required to earn a Coaching Certification through the New York State Education Department. Opportunities to coach include Varsity, Junior Varsity, Freshman, and Modified levels for both boys and girls. SUNY Ulster has the potential to make itself a destination for aspiring new coaches. A Microcredential in coaching will provide potential students with the foundation needed to become a successful coach.
